Terra 5 was a planet located somewhere in the space of the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrants, in orbit of the Eta Seratorn star system, at coordinates 0.26S 2.17W.
Terra 5 was so named as it was the fifth extra-solar colony effort launched from Earth.
By the 23rd century, Terra 5 was home to a thriving Human colony, a noted center of culture and industry. By reference stardate 2/2306.01, the world had a population of 5.58 billion individuals, mostly Human, and the government was a full-status colonial member of the Federation.
