Terra Four (or Terra 4) was a planet, a 23rd century Federation world in the Barnard 183 star system, located at coordinates 2.18N 0.24E, somewhere in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

By the 2280s decade, circa reference stardate 2/2306.01, Terra Four was a full-status colonial Federation member, with a population of 13.56 billion individuals, mostly Humans descended from a 21st/22nd century colony expedition. Terra 4 was so named as it was the fourth extra-solar colony effort launched from Earth. Terra Four was a center of culture with an economy based on industry and science.
