Chronology[]

Appendices[]

Information[]

  • This story takes place about two weeks after "Caretaker."
  • When Scotty says, "In other words, she drafted me," he's echoing what McCoy said about returning to Starfleet in Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
  • When Scotty says, "Well, whatever lands the caber straight, lass," he's referring to the traditional Scots competition of the caber toss. The large wooden pole is not thrown for distance, as some assume; the goal is to have the caber land pointing directly away from the thrower.
