In 2294, Terra Tonight broke the news that the USS Jenolan had gone missing while en route to Norpin V.
In 2371, during a live broadcast interview with Montgomery Scott, an emergency occurred during a training mission aboard the USS Hood. Because the starship could still receive civilian communications, Admiral Alynna Nechayev asked Scott to commandeer the show to provide assistance. He walked xenopaleontologist cadet Ella Rose through engineering procedures necessary to save the ship.
Vulcan Ambassador Lojal was a featured guest on the program after Scott. Lojal was there to discuss ongoing negotiations with Cardassia, the Maquis situation, and the Dominion threat.
