Thaddius Deming was a Human male serving in Starfleet in an alternate timeline of the 24th century.

Deming was the commanding officer of the USS Premonition, a Federation timeship that travelled from 2382 to 2376 to warn Captain Picard and the Federation of an imminent Borg invasion by Locutus.

His ship was originally badly damaged after being pursued into the past by two Borg spheres before being assisted by the USS Enterprise-E. Deming and his ship stayed to assist the Federation repel the Borg threat, and participated in the battle for Earth. Locutus's cube was destroyed, but a Borg sphere emerged fleeing back in time to destroy the USS Enterprise-D shortly after its first mission to Farpoint Station. After the joint forces of the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire destroyed the Omega containment facility in Unimatrix 01, all the capital ships disappeared as a result of historical changes. The Premonition was unaffected due to their different quantum signatures. The Premonition followed the sphere back and destroyed it before it could attack the Enterprise-D and alter history. (TNG video game: Armada)

Unusually, Deming wore the division color of operations as opposed to command red even though he held the rank of captain.
