Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

Thanatazhres th'Vroth (known familiarly as Zhres) was an Andorian thaan who served as the assistant to Palais de la Concorde Press Liaison Kant Jorel from late 2379 through 2380.

Zhres began working for Kant shortly before the special election for the President of the United Federation of Planets held in 2379. Zhres would customarily attend press briefings in person (the only person besides Kant himself to do so) and wear an earpiece which allowed him to connect to Starfleet Command's press office, among other things. This connection allowed him to immediately inform Kant when Admiral William Ross announced he would not seek the presidency. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)

Zhres remained in his position at least through October 2380. He was the only assistant of Kant's to last more than two months since Kant joined the Palais de la Concorde staff in 2377. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)
