Appendices[edit | edit source]
Background[edit | edit source]
- The title comes from a line in "Second Coming", a 1919 W.B. Yeats poem: "Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; And what rough beast, its hour come round at last, Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?" The line was also used as the title of TNG - War and Madness comic: "Ceremony of Innocence", while the poem provided title sources for each installment in the six-part TOS Mere Anarchy ebook series.
