Description[]
- Solicitation
- BORK! An extremely rare purebred corgi from Earth makes its way aboard Deep Space 9 when Quark cuts a deal to procure it for a high buyer. After all, a Ferengi without profit is no Ferengi at all! But Latinum the corgi comes with unexpected cargo that shakes Captain Benjamin Sisko to the core: a Borg component discovered by a crew sent to uncover Cardassian technology after the station's reoccupation. Don't miss out on this exclusive "lost episode" celebrating the 30th anniversary of the fan-favorite show Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and debut comic series by acclaimed author Mike Chen (Star Wars: Brotherhood) and Star Trek comics artist extraordinaire Angel Hernandez!
Summary[]
The starship Magellan has docked at Deep Space 9, where they are to assist the crew in removing Cardsssian and Dominion technology left over from the recent occupation. Captain Pearl is alarmed to detect a Borg signature coming from one of Quark's holosuites. Sisko, Odo and Pearl access the holosuite, only to find Vic Fontaine, surrounded by dogs in a picturesque field. The program is deactivated and Vic points out that one of the dogs is real.
Quark reveals that the person who is purchasing the dog has not collected it yet, but left various objects as collateral, including the Borg component. Sisko will not let them retrieve them retrieve the Borg tech, but will not turn it over to Captain Pearl either, fearful that an ambitious Starfleet admiral might foolishly try to harness it for the war effort. Quark comments that the component allowed him to hear the Borg hive mind.
