The Long Dark Tunnel was a book in the Dixon Hill series of Human detective literature, released in the 20th century on the planet Earth.

Description[]

San Francisco, California, Dixon is on the trail of the most dangerous man in America, the MOLE!
The Mole, aka Benny the nose has closed in on the trade of selling secrets, anyone's secrets. Learning that the Mole has eluded the F.B.I. and the O.S.S., Dix is called upon by his country to serve in the fight against tyranny.
The one problem is, the courier is under suspicion and may corrupt Dix with her charms of persuasion. Running from Benny and the clients Benny sells to, Dix must choose between giving up the girl and what he must do! (TNG episode: "The Big Goodbye" set prop)
