The Long Night (STO)

"The Long Night" was a mission in the Star Trek Online video game. It used to be the eighth mission of the "Cardassian Struggle" episode, but was removed from the game when the arc was revamped for Season 11: New Dawn on 27 October 2015.

Mission text (Federation): Starfleet Intelligence has received information that leads us to believe that the leaders of the True Way are on Empok Nor.; The Cardassians abandoned the station decades ago. It's practically space junk now, and lingering memories of the Occupation keep most people away.; A good friend of the Federation, Elim Garak, has provided us with a passcode that should get you into the Central Corridor. But to use it, you'll have to dock at Empok Nor and send an away team through the docking ring.; I know this is dangerous, <name>, but we have a chance to end the threat of the True Way for good.

Mission text (Romulan, Federation-aligned): Starfleet Intelligence has received information that leads us to believe that the leaders of the True Way are on Empok Nor.; The Cardassians abandoned the station decades ago. It's practically space junk now, and lingering memories of the Occupation keep most people away.; I've acquired some personal passcodes that will allow you to enter the station and get past some of its internal security. We need to end the threat of the True Way, and capturing their leaders from their own base is a good way to solve this in one swift strike.; I won't undersell this: the True Way are dangerous, and this mission won't be without risks. I wouldn't ask for your help if I weren't confident in your ability to pull this off, <name>.

Mission text (Romulan, Klingon-aligned): Our analysis of True Way movements in the area has led us to believe that their leaders are using the ancient Cardassian space station known as Empok Nor.; The station was once a base for Cardassian work impressment and defenses, but it is now little more than space junk. It is remote enough and secure enough for the True Way to use it while avoiding detection.; The Klingon Defense Force has acquired certain military override codes that will grant access to much of the station. I'm sure that your people would be just as interested as mine in accessing whatever information the True Way has hidden away in the station's data banks.
