The Mikado (or The Town of Titipu), is a comic opera in two acts, with music by Arthur Sullivan and libretto by W. S. Gilbert, their ninth of fourteen operatic collaborations.

History and specifics[]

Captain Hikaru Sulu was fond of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado, and hosted several performances while commanding the USS Excelsior. (VOY - The Brave and the Bold - Book Two novella: The Third Artifact)

USS Enterprise-E officer Data had also performed The Mikado, and Deanna Troi used portions of his performance in 2379 to try to break captured Tezwan General Gyero Minza for information. (ST - A Time to... novel: A Time to Heal)
