The Oasis was an inn located on the planet Vulcan in the city of ShirKahr.
History and specifics[]
The Oasis was situated in the Outskirts of the city and was run by a former Vulcan professor of interspecies studies named T'kin. She took over the operation of the restaurant as part of an experiment in order to see the practical application of the things she had taught to her students. Ten years later, she continued to work at the inn but did not mention the experiment much to anyone.
This restaurant gained reputation as one of the better places for non-Vulcans to go to in ShirKahr. This was because T'kin went out of her way to make sure that visitors got to see as much of her world as possible. She had even helped in the arrangement of tours and visitors to different places on Vulcan for individuals. Vulcans were also quite comfortable around her and T'kin had many friends at the Vulcan Science Academy. As "the Oasis" was located on the edge of ShirKahr's cultivated region, T'kin often attempted to warn unwary guests of the dangers of wandering the desert at night.
