Information[edit | edit source]
- The story takes its title and premise from a couple of throwaway lines spoken by Captain Archer during the ENT episode: "Hatchery".
- Nathan Archer is also the pen name of science fiction writer Lawrence Watt-Evans, who wrote the DS9 novel: Valhalla and the VOY novel: Ragnarok.
- The comm officer named Dixon is a reference to actor Ivan Dixon, who played communications officer Kinchloe on Hogan's Heroes.
- Dr. Stavos Keniclius first appeared in the TAS episode: "The Infinite Vulcan", written by Walter Koenig.
