"The Siege" is an episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It was part 3 of a 3-part story arc. The episode first aired in October 1993 as the part of the second season.
Benjamin Sisko leads a team to stop the Bajorans taking control of Deep Space 9; Kira Nerys and Jadzia Dax travel to Bajor to show the government evidence of Cardassian involvement in the crisis. (part 3 of 3)
Summary[]
With three Bajoran assault ships heading for Deep Space 9, Sisko elects to stay behind to hold the Bajoran troops off long enough to expose the Cardassian involvement in supplying weapons to Minister Jaro’s extremist group, the Circle. Major Kira and Dax obtain a small Bajoran ship to take the evidence to the Bajoran government. Their ship is brought down but Kira and Dax survive and are taken to Vedek Bareil’s monastery.
General Krim and Colonel Day’s troops board the station, with Colonel Day confident that the Federation has left. General Krim is not so sure. Sisko’s forces engage the Bajoran troops and take General Krim prisoner. On Bajor, Kira reaches the Bajoran government and provides them with the evidence of Cardassian involvement. Colonel Day attempts to shoot Sisko, but Li Nalas shields Sisko from the blast and is killed. The siege over, life returns to normal and the crew’s families return to the station.
