"The Trouble with Jones" is a TOS short story published in Star Trek Explorer, Issue 9 in November 2023. It was collected in Titan Magazines' omnibus "A Year to the Day That I Saw Myself Die" and Other Stories in December 2024. Written by Greg Cox and illustrated by Andy Walker, the story featured Cyrano Jones.

Cyrano Jones was introduced in TOS episode & Star Trek 3 novelization: The Trouble with Tribbles.
During a visit to Omicron Ceti III, James T. Kirk rid Spock and the planet's colonists from the drugged influence of Omicron spore plants and directed the colony's evacuation. This occurred in TOS episode & Star Trek 5 novelization: This Side of Paradise.
Jones "acquired" a glommer from the Klingons in TAS episode & Log Four novelization: More Tribbles, More Troubles.
