Theodore Roosevelt (October 27, 1858 - January 6, 1919) was a male Human who served as President of the United States of America in the early 20th century. During his term of office, he was also awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The origin of the name of the children's stuffed animal toy, "teddy bear" is attributed to his sparing the life of a motherless, American blackbear cub, while hunting in 1902.
