Prelude[]
During the Dominion War, Federation space station commander Benjamin Sisko blamed the assassination of Senator Merken Vreenak, in the year 2374[2], on the Dominion. The Second Romulan War took place in the 2460s and resulted in a Federation victory. (ST - Strange New Worlds VI short story: "Guardians")
Conflict[]
The Romulans learned the truth about the Sisko lie many years later, leading to the Third Great Earth-Romulan War, which was followed by more wars.
