A Tholian base[3] was 25th century Tholian space station class, a type of asteroid base in Tholian Assembly service in the 2400s and 2410s decades. (STO - Task Force Operations: Romulan Mystery mission: "Azure Nebula Rescue")
In the mirror universe, the Tholian Assembly built bases in to asteroids in the 2150s. (ENT episode: "In a Mirror, Darkly")
Service history[]

Aganippe, Dryope, Glauke and Otheis in 2409.
In the year 2409, the Alpha Quadrant-based[4] Tholians invaded the Azure Nebula, located in Romulan Republic space in the galaxy's Beta Quadrant. The Tholians established bases on four asteroids within the nebula: Aganippe, Dryope, Glauke and Otheis. The Assembly then captured Romulan Republic Navy warbird which were held in front of the bases with tractor beams.
The Republic dispatched the IRW M'sarr and the RRW M'sarr light warbirds with an escort of five Allied ships to rescue as many Romulans as possible. The task force attacked each of the four Tholian bases to battle Tholian flotillas and rescue the Romulan warbirds. (STO - Task Force Operations: Romulan Mystery mission: "Azure Nebula Rescue")
Alternate timelines[]

The Enterprise escapes Tholian Base.
In the mirror universe, the Tholians operated a base in an asteroid in the Vintaak star system in the 22nd century. In the year 2155, the Tholians held the 23rd century Federation Constitution-class starship USS Defiant (NCC-1764). The base was damaged when Terran Imperial Starfleet forces captured the Defiant and turned its advanced weapons on the Tholian base and its protecting starships. The Defiant(ENT episode: "In a Mirror, Darkly")
In an alternate timeline where a temporal anomaly changed the outcome of the Battle of Narendra III in 2344, the 24th century Federation Ambassador-class starship USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-C) emerged in 2409 and was captured by the Tholian Assembly. The Tholians towed the Enterprise-C inside Tholian Base and enslaved its crew. With the help of a visiting freighter captain and fellow slave T'nae; Richard Castillo, Tasha Yar and their crew regained control of the Enterprise and escaped from the base. Due to intervention of the 29th century Federation Starfleet timeship USS Pastak, the Enterprice-C survived the counterattact by Tholian forces and returned through the temporal anomaly to downtime Narendra III.
