Thought Admiral was a type of flag officer specific to the Klingon military.
History and specifics[]
The title was an honorific bestowed by the Klingon High Council to admirals of the Klingon Imperial Fleet for victories against enemies of the Klingon Empire attained through masterful strategy. It was also applied to strategic planners for the entire Navy.
While a Thought Admiral does not technically outrank another admiral, Klingon society revered and respected those holding this title as if it were a higher rank. (FASA RPG module: The Klingons: Star Fleet Intelligence Manual)
