Template:ShipInfobox The Thris class was the leading class of Andorian science and research vessel in use during the late 24th century. It was first commissioned in 2359.
History
The Thris-class was equipped with the most up-to-date modular sensors, designed so that it could easily be upgraded with state-of-the-art technology. Though it is a science vessel, it is an Andorian vessel, and is equipped with Type VII phaser arrays and two photon torpedo tubes (fore and aft,) much more than average science vessels.
Features
It has a fairly small average crew complement of only 80, but is capable of carrying 158 passengers with an emergency 650 capacity. It has 3 personnel transporters, 4 cargo transporters, and 3 emergency transporters. It is equipped with two tractor beams, one fore, one aft.
It has a cruising speed of Warp 5, but is capable of warp 9.5 for 12 hours, and a .5c/.75c impulse system. Its long range sensors have a range of 18 light-years, and its lateral sensors 1.
