Thurgood Marshall (2 July 1908 – 24 January 1993) was an American lawyer who lived during the 20th century. He was the first African-American individual to be appointed as an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
In the 1950s, Marshall was pushing for an end to racial segregation in the United States. Eli Underwood supported Marshall's goals. (DS9 novel: Unity)
