The Tiercel class was a 25th century Romulan Republic shuttlecraft type, a small-craft starship in Romulan Republic Navy service in the 2400s and 2410s decade. (STO - From the Ashes mission: "Explore the Flotilla")
Technical data[]
The Tiercel class was comparable to the Starfleet Type-8 shuttlecraft but had weaker deflector shields. It was equipped with a standard Romulan battle[1] cloaking device. (STO website: Legacy of Romulus: Romulan Ship Progression)
The Imperial Klingon Defense Force counterpart was the Kivra-class. (STO - Empire mission: "The Hunt is On")
Visually, the Tiercel resembled the larger Kestrel-class runabout, with the wing-like nacelle pylons holding down-swept warp nacelles, a main section fronted by a helmet-like avionics bay. In the 25th century, the avionics interior for all Republic shuttles was standardized. The Tiercel-shuttle required at least one officer to pilot and could accommodate passengers. The hull material or livery could be modified at any allied shipyard. The New Romulus Shipyards offered hull types based on larger Reman and Romulan warbirds. (STO - From the Ashes mission: "Explore the Flotilla")

Tiercel-class variants in 2411.
In the year 2409, Admiral Kererek authorized Subcommander Rehu with providing the small shuttlecraft to Navy crews at New Romulus Command. Their commanding officers were primarily Romulans and Remans but also included aliens. They could modify the shuttle to suit their needs by changing its equipment and appearance, e.g. to follow Reman starship standards. (STO - Vengeance mission: "Small Packages")
Flag officers of the Khitomer Alliance could deploy the RRW Tiercel alongside other small craft and starships for assignments across the galaxy's quadrants as part of Operation: Delta Rising's four-quadrant strategy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Admiralty System")
From 2410 onwards, the RRW Tiercel represented its class on the shipyards interfaces operated by New Romulus Shipyards, Klingon Defense Force Order of Builders and Starfleet Shipyards Operations at Alliance facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy.
