Tinseltown Tattler was a mid-20th century tabloid magazine published by Schlitz Periodicals in Los Angeles, California.
History and specifics[]
Of the company's six periodicals, Tinseltown Tattler was the best-seller. Its articles consisted of photos and gossip about Hollywood actors.
In 1954, following Calvin Sutherland's discharge from the United States Army, then-editor Chuck Elliot hired him as a staff writer. When Elliot retired, Harold Garner became the new editor.
In January 1955, Sutherland regarded it a "gossip rag" full of nonsense, even though he had worked on the magazine for a year and was friends with its writer, Tom Larkin. (TOS novel: From History's Shadow)
