Tobias was a Human male who lived during the 24th century. He served as the chief engineer on board the USS Intrepid during the 2340s.
Biography[]
In 2346, Tobias was part of a rescue team that responded to the Romulan attack on the Klingon world of Khitomer. He and Chief Sergey Rozhenko discovered the six-year-old boy Worf in the debris. Rozhenko and his wife Helena later adopted Worf and raised him as their own son. (TLE novel: The Art of the Impossible)
Tobias was the father of Starfleet officer Tania Tobias, who attended Starfleet Academy with Worf during the 2350s and became close friends with him. (TNG - Starfleet Academy novel: Worf's First Adventure)
