Torad V was a planet located in the space of the galaxy's Gamma Quadrant, the fifth planet in orbit of the Torad star system. This world was the destination of Miles O'Brien and his pregnant wife Keiko, for a planned botanical study. During the trip, their runabout was damaged, and Keiko was seriously injured. The fetus of Keiko's unborn son is transferred to Kira Nerys by Doctor Julian Bashir in order to ensure its survival. (DS9 episode: "Body Parts")
