Tormandars were a sentient species native to either the Alpha or Beta Quadrant. Starfleet science officer Kyeera Janyl was a Tormandar. Tormandars had sensitive pheromone receptors, and at least one individual (Janyl) had reddish fur covering her head. (DTI novel: The Collectors)
