The Traité d'Unification was the legal document that established the existence of United Earth in 2130. Signed in Paris at the Place de la Concorde, future site of the Palais de la Concorde, this historic document served as United Earth's charter, though at least some nations, including Australia, did not become signatories until 2150. (ST novel: Articles of the Federation)
- The TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky called this founding documentation the United Earth Accords, although much of the historical information in that book has been invalidated by subsequent canonical productions.
Subsequent to the signing of the Traité d'Unification, the United Earth Constitution was established to regulate the U.E. government's operations. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing.)
