The Trexatians were a species native to Trexat in either the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.
Culture[]
As a people, they were competitive, making use of prosthetic eyes and limbs to "better" themselves. Many Trexatians color or etch their skin for cosmetic reasons, often adorning themselves with implanted jewels and changing their hair color. Beauty was held above all else. They were also a marauding people, with no respect for other species rights. (TNG novel: Resistance)
History[]
As of 2380, the Trexatians acquired warp drive, and celebrated by attacking the planets T'hirada and Xochin. When T'hirada applied for Federation membership, the Trexatians agreed to stop attacking others. Before too long, they were at it again, this time with the Repoki. (TNG novel: Resistance)
