Trexelian Sector 001 was a region of space, a sectors of the Trexelian Expanse in the galaxy's Alpha or Beta Quadrant. The region was the site of Progenitor ruins. Besides native Trexelian cultures like the Valkar and Qalari, the Federation and Klingon Empire began to explore the sector around 2270. Starfleet constructed a Trexelian Starbase in the sector. History

At some point before the 23rd century, the Progenitor established sites with advanced technology on worlds of the Trexelian Expanse. (ST video game: Trexels intro)

By stardate 7###.8 (circa 2270), the region was inhabited by Trexelian species such as the ruthless Krill, aggressive Valkar, and volatile Qalari. From outside the Expanse, the Federation, the Klingons and Orion pirates moved in. (ST video game: Trexels)
