Memory Beta, non-canon Star Trek Wiki

A tribblecom was a type of malicious invasive computer program. It invaded a computer system as a communication, then "ate" all the available memory space and broadcast itself to every other connected user. They were named for similarly voracious tribbles, and were often counteracted by the use of "glommer programs".

A tribblecom was used to take over the computer systems on Recreational Station Hidalgo, and to hijack the identity of Commander Sonya Gomez during her time aboard. (SCE eBook: Identity Crisis)

In 2365, when the USS Enterprise-D was afflicted with extensive system failures, Gomez theorized they were caused by a tribblecom downloaded from the USS Yamato. (SCE eBook: Many Splendors)
