Triceratops was a dinosaur indigenous to planet Earth millions of years ago during the Cretaceous period.
History and specifics[]
Triceratops was a type of ceratopsid characterised by its bony cranial frill, facial horns, and beak-like mouth. (TOS novel: First Frontier; DTI eBook: The Collectors)
In the year 2367, Doctor Noonien Soong had a model of a Triceratops skeleton in his laboratory on Terlina III. (TNG episode: "Brothers")
In the far future, around the year 21,436,000, the Collectors kept a herd of Triceratops in their nature preserve along with other dinosaurs. Federation Department of Temporal Investigations special agents, Gariff Lucsly and Marion Dulmur, along with Jena Noi, had the herd returned to their own time—the late Maastrichtian period (c. 66,018,180 BCE)—at the future site of Bozeman, Montana.
