In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D aided researchers on Archaria III during a Double Helix outbreak, bringing several weeks' worth of supplies of the medicine. Unfortunately the plague infected members of the ship's crew. When Deanna Troi contracted the disease, Beverly Crusher gave her a shot of tricillin as well as a sedative to help her rest.
