The Tricom badge is a small personnel device integrated into an insignia badge of organizations such as the United Federation of Planets' Starfleet and the Emerald Chain in the later half in the 32nd century. (DSC episodes: "Scavengers", "There Is A Tide...")

The badge could use the following functions:
- A holoPADD to be activated on the user's palm.
- A hand activated tricorder
- A personal transporter
In addition to these features, the badge like insignia badges in the 2250s, would display the wearer's rank from crewman to fleet admiral. (DSC episodes: "The Vulcan Hello", "Die Trying")
