The Commission's headquarters was a campus complex in the Trill capital city of Leran Manev on the planet Trill.
From the years 2264 to 2280, Audrid Dax was head of the Symbiosis Commission. (DS9 - The Lives of Dax short story: "Sins of the Mother")
The Commission kept secret the fact that nearly half of the Trill population were capable of being joined. Publicly, they stated that only one Trill in a thousand were capable of being joined. (DS9 episode: "Equilibrium")
