Triple Cross is a Star Trek Online short story published on the ARC website on April 22, 2019. The short story was written by Cryptic Studios community rep Mike Fatum, who also provided the screenshot. "Triple Cross" is the ninth lore entry in the Star Trek Online series Age of Discovery, which ties into Star Trek: Discovery. It is part of the Rise of Discovery season.

Summary[]

Lieutenant Michelle Rautert, nominally of Starfleet Intelligence but actually a Section 31 double-agent, is investigating the secrets of the recently recovered Federation shipyard Yard 39. Leaving her superiors from both intelligence services in the dark, she walks the wreck of a Section 31 intel science destroyer to recover classified files of the 23rd century.

Confronted by her deskmate and fellow S31 operative Jamok, Rautert realises she has been double-crossed by S31 top-agent Franklin Drake. She tricks the Orion woman to recover the intel and escapes. On her way out, Rautert acts to counter-act Drake's betrayal and deliver the data to Starfleet Intelligence. The lieutenant contacts Lieutenant Commander Kyla VanZyl of the USS Voyager.
