Trisha Almedia Cochrain was a 23rd century Human woman who served as Prefect of Sheridan's World.
Biography[]
Cochrain was born in the mid-2250s on Rashile, a Federation planet in the Triangle sector. As a student, she excelled in Klingon psychology, administration, and linguistics. She learned Klingonaase and took intensive studies in the languages of Orions and Caitians. She took professional-level training in computer operation, law, Human psychology, and unarmed combat. She qualified in communications systems operation, negotiation, and Federation history. Recreationally, she enjoyed trivia and zero gravity sports. She acted reservedly in a professional manner, presenting a striking, tall appearance.
For several years, she served in a civilian capacity as a linguist with the Starfleet Office of Colonization. At some point after 2268, she was hired as Assistant Administrator and Prefect of Sheridan's World colony, serving as a liaison between the Klingon and Human divisions along with Klingon Prefect Krox vestai-Drexa. Among Human colonists, she ranked among the highest in charisma and dexterity. By 2283, she had fallen in love with Klingon Co-Director Kexor sutai-Pallara, whom she thought seemed interested in her as well.
In 2283, when she was 27 years old, delegates from the warpshuttles USS Impala and IKV Intimidator approached the colony under the invitation of the Organians to take a citizen vote on choosing an alliance or becoming independent. Cochrain sent a message stating that they weren't welcome. She and Prefect Krox met the delegates on the outskirts of the capital city of Continuity and escorted them to Medark Palace. Six days later, in an attempt to rally pro-Federation sentiment among the colonists, she falsely claimed to have been assaulted during the night by a member of the Klingon delegation.
Cochrain supported the continued neutrality of Sheridan's World, although if forced to choose she was slightly more likely to desire the colony go under Federation control rather than join the Klingon Empire. However, she could be swayed if it meant that she'd remain near Kexor. (FASA RPG module: Conflict of Interests)
