Tsamah tanoor was a type of braided bread favored by Vulcans in the 23rd century.

History and specifics[]

The braiding was symbolic of Surak's reconciliation efforts on the planet Vulcan.

In the 2260s decade, Nurse Christine Chapel got a recipe for the dish from Commander Spock and adapted it for the USS Enterprise's food processors. She described her adaptation as a braided egg bread, formulated with yeast, sugar, salt, milk, eggs, oil, and flour. (TOS reference: Official Cooking Manual)
