History and specifics[]
The nebula was approximately three parsecs wide, located near the midpoint of the Twilight Nebula sector, a region within the Organian Treaty Zone. Within the nebula, interference blocked sensors and subspace communications, allowing for an abundance of pirate activity despite it being within territory claimed by the Federation.
