The Tyburn sector was a strategic sector of Earth Alliance space in the Earth-Romulan War. The Tyburn system was located there.

History[]

Years prior to 2159, the Vulcans established a presence within the Tyburn system.

In 2159, during the Earth-Romulan War, the Romulan Imperial Fleet entered the Tyburn sector as part of a big push into strategic sectors, believed by Starfleet to be heading for Earth. While other elements of the Romulan fleet were intercepted in Orcini, the Romulans were defeated at Tyburn by a task force of Starfleet vessels led by the NX-class Enterprise NX-01, but not before contaminating the Tyburn system with a metagenic virus. However, Starfleet immediately moved to synthesize a counter agent from a sample of the toxin for the benefit of the people within Tyburn. (ST video game: Legacy)
