The Tzenkethi flagship was a massive starship commissioned by the Tzenkethi Coalition in the year 2378. The prototype flagship was the Warmaster Muthkrat.

History and specifications[]

The Tzenkethi flagship was built in secret as the Romulan Star Empire had warned the Tzenkethi of an intel leak and the possible impending sabotage of the Tzenketh shipyards. When Starfleet ordered a tactical strike, crippling the Tzenkethi fleet shipbuilding program, the Romulans' warning was borne out and the Tzenkethi revealed their powerful new ship type.

Tom Paris was in awe of the ship's size, and in a moment of surprise compared the Muthkrat's size to that of a Borg cube.

The hull and structural frame assemblies were crafted from animal bone, calcified stone and volcanic glass. Measuring 1,135 meters long by 302 meters tall, and a crew complement of 35,000 Tzenkethi and had a gross vehicle mass of 11,000,000 metric tons.

The Muthkrat power source was energy generated by a thermonuclear reactor. When sensor scanned by the Federation starship USS Theseus, the readout was unable to identify a known radiation spectrum or identify a potential upper output limit.

The flagship's shields were configured as a autophasic rotational technology of Romulan Imperial Fleet design. The ship also carried grappling cables, with five mounted to starboard and five mounted to the aft.

The prototype weapons loadout consisted of 25 torpedo launchers with a supply of 1,200 plasma torpedoes, 100 quantum torpedoes and five torpedoes of an unknown design that could not be identified by the Theseus scan. Ship-mounted weapons also included beam weapons, plasma beams specifically, from a total of 38 plasma beam emitters. There were also radiation weapons capable of firing theralon radiation from a dozen beam emitter ports. There was a beam cannon mounted to fore, of an unknown type that also could not be immediately identified. Additional cannon weapons included 25 ore cannons. The Starfleet computer readout of the sensor scan assigned there was no equivalent to this ship in the Federation, and assigned the threat analysis classification "Alpha-01".
