The USS Acropolis was a Derf-class starship in service in the 23rd century, named for the Acropolis on Earth. (FASA RPG module: Federation Ship Recognition Manual)
Service History[]
In 2265, the Acropolis responded to a malfunctioning navigational marker buoy near Klingon space. Before the crew could service the buoy, the ship was attacked and captured by a Klingon warship, which towed the vessel back to the Empire. Starfleet Intelligence later learned that Klingon agents tampered with the buoy with plans to capture a Federation starship. (FASA RPG: Star Trek IV Sourcebook Update)
