The USS Adad (NCC-515) was a 23rd century Federation starship in Starfleet service.
Service history and disposition[]
Adad, with registry number NCC-515, was authorized for construction as a Mk VIII Saladin-class class I destroyer by a Starfleet appropriation on stardate 0965, by the early to mid-2260s decade. (ST reference: Star Fleet Technical Manual)
Adad was in service as an Akula-class destroyer in the 2280s and 2290s, initially equipped as a standard destroyer (DD). (ST video games: Starfleet Command, Starfleet Command II: Empires at War, Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates)
- It is not clear if Adad was ever built to the original Federation destroyer specifications, as the SFTM only notes it was authorized. It is possible it was built as a Saladin-class vessel and then refit, or that the plans were cancelled and/or altered to make way for the ship commissioning of the Akula-class.
This vessel had the capability of being modified for service as an advanced destroyer (DD+ in the Darius series). (ST video games: Starfleet Command II: Empires at War, Starfleet Command: Orion Pirates)
- No history or definitive fate is established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for a destroyer by the SFC games' software.
