The USS Adirondack was a 24th century Federation starship, a Steamrunner-class heavy frigate in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade, one of a number of ships to be named for a mountain range in New York on the planet Earth. A previous USS Adirondack had been lost in the Earth-Romulan War at the Battle of Deneva. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)

Service history and disposition

The Steamrunner-class Adirondack was destroyed in the First Battle of Chin'toka in the year 2374. (Decipher RPG module: Starfleet Operations Manual)

By 2380 another USS Adirondack had been commissioned and was present at Starbase 128 on stardate 57931.4, after it was along with a battlegroup including the USS Resolute and USS Titan called to defend the Federation from the Tkon warship known as Aphelion recently reactivated by the Scions of the Flame who wished to bioform billions of unwilling sentient individuals into Tkon and restore their Empire.
