The USS Agamemnon (NCC-11638) was a Federation starship, an Apollo-class light cruiser in service to Starfleet in the 24th century, named in honor of a legendary character from Homer's Illiad. History and specifications[]

In the year 2341, the Agamemnon transported four Yann cadets from Yannora to Starbase 93. (TNG - Starfleet Academy novel: Mystery of the Missing Crew)

In 2369, the Agamemnon, under the command of Captain Kintu, was near the planet Iomides, and was able to respond when Commander William T. Riker and an away team from the USS Enterprise-D needed assistance. (TNG novel: The Death of Princes)

Shortly after, the Agamemnon was assigned to Task Force Three along with the Enterprise and the USS Crazy Horse in response to a Borg incursion on Ohniaka III. (TNG episode & novelization: Descent)

In 2371, the USS LaSalle met with the Agamemnon to pick up Lieutenant Esteban Lopez. The Agamemnon and the La Salle had patrols that took them to similar places. (DS9 novel: Saratoga)

By the late 2370s decade, this ship had been succeeded in name by a new Sovereign-class vessel, the USS Agamemnon. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)
