For other uses, see USS Alexandria.

The USS Alexandria was a proposed Federation starship, ordered for possible construction and Starfleet service at some point after the mid-2340s decade.

History and disposition[]

Construction of Alexandria was authorized by Starfleet for appropriation sometime in or after the year 2346. This starship was proposed to be named after a number of locations on planet Earth and predecessor vessels of the Human civilization.

Possible classes[]

The initial proposal to assign this name to a vessel could be applied to a Federation transport, Federation colony ship, Federation construction ship, Oberth-class science vessel or Excelsior-class explorer. The name might also have ended up being optioned for a Galaxy-class or Sovereign-class explorer, a Defiant-class escort or an Intrepid-class cruiser.

There was an option that had been initially put to construction, the Miranda-class cruiser USS Alexandria (NCC-1842). (ST video game: Infinite)

There is a chance in each campaign of Star Trek Infinite for a ship of this name to be spawned of each of the aforementioned classes, assigned randomly. It is also possible for the name to be assigned to multiple different vessels over the course of the same campaign's gameplay. It is possible that any of these vessels may be correlated with the First Splinter timeline's USS Alexandria in the 2370s decade.
