The USS Antares was a 24th century Federation starship, a Federation repair ship in service to Starfleet in the 2370s decade. This vessel was named for the star Antares.

Service history and disposition[]

Antares was in service in the year 2377. (ST video game: Armada II)

No history or fate is established for this vessel as its name was randomly selected for a tender by the game software.

Antares inherited her name from an earlier Starfleet vessel, a Miranda-class USS Antares in service during the Dominion War. (DS9 episode: "Favor the Bold")

These vessels were eventually succeeded in bearing the name Antares by 2378, when the Excelsior-class USS Antares was in service. (ST video game: Starfleet Command III)
