The USS Appalachia (NCC-52136) was a 24th century Federation starship, a Steamrunner-class heavy frigate in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade, one of a number of ships to be named USS Appalachia. Service history and disposition[]
In the year 2373, the Appalachia defended Earth against the Borg in the Battle of Sector 001. Erika Benteen commanded the vessel at this time. (TNG movie: First Contact, ST video game: Starship Creator)
By 2375, it was commanded by Captain Ahmed al-Rashid in the Dominion War. It was destroyed defending a communication relay in the Phicus system. (SCE - War Stories eBook: Book 2)
