The USS Appalachia (NCC-93550) was a 25th century Federation starship, an Appalachia-class blockade runner escort in Starfleet service in the 2410s decade. The Appalachia was the prototype of its class and equipped with a tricobalt tear launcher, a launcher for tricobalt devices. The Appalachia was named after the Steamrunner-class heavy frigate USS Appalachia (NCC-52136), which fought in the Battle of Sector 001 in the year 2373.
