USS Armitage (prototype)

The USS Armitage (NCC-92331/NCC-97300) was a 25th century Federation starship, the tier 5-rated Armitage-class heavy strike wing escort prototype in Starfleet service in the 2400s and 2410s decade. (STO - Under Siege mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Service history[]

In 2409 the Armitage, registered NCC-92331, was in a drydock near Earth Spacedock in the Sol system. (STO website: Under Siege)

With the new registry NCC-97300, the Armitage, alongside the USS Defiant, Khitomer, and Renown, responded to the Borg invasion of the Vega colony, aiding a Miranda-class crewed by Starfleet Academy cadets in destroying the Borg cube at the head of the fleet. (STO - Tutorial mission: "Assimilation of the Innocent")

From 2410 onward, the Armitage represented its class on he Starfleet Shipyards Operations interface at Khitomer Alliance shipyard facilities across the Milky Way Galaxy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock")

Khitomer Alliance flag officers deployed the Armitage for missions around the galaxy's four quadrants as part of the four-quadrant strategy. (STO - New Dawn mission: "Admiralty System")

The Armitage and the class named after are named for the anime^WP Armitage III^WP, in keeping with the class progenitor the Akira-class being named for the manga and film Akira^WP

In addition to the above "official" appearances of the Armitage, any Armitage-class carrier NPC that appears in Star Trek Online and is not otherwise named will bear the Armitage's name and registry number.
