The USS Ashoka was a Federation starship in Starfleet service in the 23rd century.

Service history and disposition[]

This ship's entire crew was lost some time prior to the year 2273. Rear Admiral James T. Kirk, musing about the recent developments in Starfleet's deployment, recalled the Ashoka alongside the USS Sphinx and USS Exeter as Starfleet vessels that had lost their entire crews. (TOS novel: Ex Machina)

This vessel was named after Indian emperor Ashoka.
